Exploration

Understanding minerals and oil exploration

Exploration is a range of activities to help to determine if there are minerals under the ground. If the exploration process identifies minerals can be commercially extracted, then mining in the future may be possible. Less than one percent of exploration projects typically progress to establish a mine. This is one of the reasons why mining and the resources extraction come at a higher cost. Initial exploration activities, such as mapping will start over a large area and then target smaller and smaller areas. To aim is to see mineralization at levels large enough to be extracted commercially. This involves:

  • Mapping
  • Surveying the surface
  • Air testing water, soil samples
  • Drilling

The exploration is strictly governed by minerals explorers need to apply for an exploration license. The license gives the explorer, solo, the right to search for a specific mineral within the specified area. An exploration license does not permit mining or guarantees that a mining license will be granted. The license holder may apply for a mining or retention license.

Value and Benefit

Everything we use in our daily lives begins its life as a mineral. Exploration is an important step in finding minerals, so they can be potentially mined: As the population grows human needs increase so the demand of minerals increases also. It does not matter what renewable energy we build. This demand is driving an increase in exploration today. Be it India or Africa there is a need for exploration. Industry to keep its economy strong, this industry also boosts local towns through expenditure at supply stores, motels, services, transportation including health services and many more. Did you know that exploration companies such as Scorpiixi Pleiades Resources Corporation have a duty to:

  • Consent with the landholder and resident.
  • Manage environmental impacts.
  • Consider public safety and land use concerns.
  • Negotiate access and have compensation agreement in place with the land holder.
  • Share information on any activities authorized under the license.
  • Provide the community with a reasonable opportunity to express views about those activities.

In the end the license holder needs to take measures that are reasonable and a commonsense approach when it comes to minimizing the impact of drilling operation, protecting the environment, community health and services. Keeping in mind SPRC will not do exploration in National or State Parks. Always keeping in mind of the environment, Indigenous heritage, water, land, native title, plants and animals, biodiversity, water catchment and aquifers. Scorpiixi Pleiades Resources Corporation carries and explores work with the purpose of expanding the resources but not to devastate the environment. We use advanced technology and techniques in selecting the most promising areas based on geology, geochemistry, and geophysics.

We do exploration and prospect for mineral, oil and gas. The core segment of our business is exploration and production. SPRC activities depend on what mineral, oil or gas we are looking for and where. Our seismic data through a special station called, “Geophysical Station.” Our own personal team do the survey by airplane, vessel, equipment and drones. In some cases, through contractual hiring by survey contracts. The geophysical services carry out surveys and vertical sesismic profile technique of measuring for correlation with vertical surface seismic profile data. (VSP) To provide in situ rock properties in depth particular seismic velocity impedance, anisotropy and attention. Also, to assist in understanding seismic have propagation which is source signature, multiples and conversion by logging the data we collect at Scorpiixi Pleiades Resources Corporation geo-scientist can enable and visualize the formation of different minerals and reservoir of oil and gas. (Lowering logging tool on the end of the wireline into a oil well both to measure that rock and fluid properties of formation.)

While logging team is responsible for the field operating involving a number of teqniques for measurement of petrophysical parameters of geological formation penetrated by the drill bit. All the data is collected and processed in the form of petrophysical parameter vs depth. Then the data is interpreted to obtain the perimeters for minerals and hydrocarbon potential. By this we can also study the flow characteristics of the well etc. All the database is accessible for timely and effective decision making. We are equipped with logging capabilities. It is our biggest endeavor to have a strong in-house operation and where other companies need our services, we could provide them with data interrupted.

All safety environment in logging operation is taken into consideration, including installation of speed governor (speed limit controller device) and GPS (Global Positioning System) using GPS technology, mining, drilling, exploration, operation, the operators can obtain an accurate picture of the usage of assets and equipment during each operation. One can utilize the formation on a custom map, allowing you to see more clearly which assets are currently in use and one which one can be dispatched for use in the other area. This technology boost mining and drilling capabilities and operation efficiency.

For better sub-surface imaging in logistically difficult terrains, AGG Survey provides high accuracy gravity information with consistent coverage, in rapid time, and over a very wide range of terrains. This measure minute differences in the Earth’s density to yield information on geologic structure underground and undersea. Drones are unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV) used to capture a lot of high accuracy data fast across a prospective mine site. Drones are especially useful because of their accuracy compared to all other methods-including terrestrial manned and satellite survey and they are less expensive as well.

Drones also enhance mining and exploration by delivering clear and accurate maps of even the roughest terrain to pinpoint excavation planning. The aerial data from drones helps produce, base geology maps for planning and excavation of assets; help us identify hazard, rail roads, underground inspection, water and sediment flow monitoring, drilling and blasting stockpile management, maintaining tailings, dams and ponds, reclamation, reporting and auditing. Scorpiixi Pleiades Resources Corporation look forward to strong exploratory contracts and records over the years to come.
